My three little angels.

Hi, welcome to MariLand Images - where babies, children and families are everything.

My husband Mark and I have 3 children, but if I could I'd have a whole platoon of children. They're my whole world and there's nothing I love more than talking about children, babies and pregnancy.
​
In fact, before I became a photographer I worked for West London YMCA as a children’s activity teacher.
​
And in my professional opinion children should be allowed to...
​
* Roll around in mud (and even eat it on special occasions!) ;-)
* Jump in puddles.
* Explore the wilderness and climb trees.
* Laugh until snot comes out of their nose.​
My philosophy on photography and children is to follow Bear Gryll's advice - 'Work with nature'.
​
Children are an amazing force of nature and I love to capture their spirit of adventure, wonder and freedom of expression.
​
I never demand that they perform a task and I certainly never tell them to say 'cheese'... YUCK!
​
Let kids be kids while we stand back and enjoy the show, that's what I say!
​

What do I love most in the world?
​
Aside from children and my family I'd have to say people who laugh, smile and hug.
​​
I'm considering refusing to photograph any family that doesn't give me a hug first!
​
How would I describe myself in one word?
​​
Romantic. I watch and read all the romantic comedies and historical dramas that would make most men feel sick!
​
What's my guilty pleasure?
​​
Haagen Dazs. I was an aerobics and fitness instructor for many years but I still had a Haagen Dazs now and again, after all I burnt off all the calories! (What a good excuse… ;-)
​
A surprising fact about me
​
I'm Spanish! I was born in Valencia and moved to West London from Madrid 15 years ago. I came with the intention of staying only for a few months, but Mark found me before I went back. We fell in love and started our own family. I miss Spain, but I do like England very much. And we do go to Spain every summer to visit my family. So I guess I’m your typical creative, romantic, crazy Spaniard! But don’t worry, I don’t have the fiery mediterranean blood!
